Abstract
Cervical cancer continues to cause disease and death in the United States despite the availability of highly effective prevention and treatment options. This project aims to identify reasons for persisting cervical cancer burden despite policies and programs to address it. Through collection of primary (qualitative and quantitative) and secondary (quantitative) data about cervical cancer prevention at multiple levels, and the use of multi-level modeling and agent-based models, the study will identify promising opportunities for cervical cancer elimination. The study will be conducted in high-burden settings that are using different and innovative approaches to implementing cancer prevention and control programs that can provide insights for strategies for reducing cervical cancer burden in the United States.
